04 Meet the Team
Ascendas Business Solutions was founded by Gerry Connolly in 2005.
Gerry Connolly is the Managing Director of Ascendas. With a career in ICT and Finance spanning over 24 years he has built a company from a small IT consultancy provider into a dynamic business delivering new and innovative ways to support communities and business through new technologies.
Alokeshwar Tiwary has worked in IT for over 15 years both in India and the US before coming to Ireland 5 years ago.
He worked with a major US health insurance company and was responsible for the delivery of software development projects.
He has extensive experience in IT Security, Microsoft products and is the chief architect for the MyCoCo portal.
He has responsibility for all software development.
Brendan Nicholson has responsibility for strategic planning, research and identifying new business opportunities within Ascendas.
He has 40+ years’ experience working with the local government sector both as a programme manager with the LGMA and now with Ascendas in managing the delivery of IT/Business solutions.
Roisin O’Byrne has worked with Ascendas for 5 years and is responsible for the implementation and support of software solutions for clients.
Prior to that, Roisin has worked in software development and IT system administration.
She is a qualified AWS Cloud practitioner.
